Introduction

Handwriting is a skill that every child and adult on the planet needs regardless of age or skill level, or functional level. Everyone needs to be able to write with a pen or pencil on paper. Even though technology is rapidly becoming available and next accessible to many people, writing is still an essential life skill and will be for the life of our children now. As educators and parents, we need to know how best to help our children develop effective and efficient writing skills. There are many different strategies and programs for teaching writing. In this workshop, we will cover a long-term approach to training handwriting and the data collection and monitoring of your progress over time. Children take years to develop efficient handwriting, and those with special needs take even longer. In this workshop, we will look at some essential strategies for teaching writing as well as monitoring progress over many months and even years. Please join us. This will be a quick-moving workshop with a lot of information that could be a benefit to all children as well as the teams supporting those children .
